I’m running the vmware image of appenlight. I’m trying to get the custom dashboard menu to appear in order to use appenlight for showing custom metrics from diamond. Is there something else that needs to be installed before this feature will work?

Custom dashboards are not a part of the CE edition. It’s a paid addon for the on-premise version. It’s available for free on the SaaS version if you need it.
